It was a very challenging day for me, but also a day of great accomplishment. I know that the Shepherd was giving me strength and that I had to rely on Him to finish the race. It made me think how hard it is to follow a leader, and to totally rely on the Shepherd. I can see why they grumbled and complained: I would do the same.
It has been amazing to me how the desert can be a land flowing with milk. I am aware, again, that the hard places are the most valuable for learning about God and learning to know Him.

It was great to discuss how we keep the Sabbath. It gave me an understanding of what it means to "rest". Sabbath isn't just a time to stop doing things, but a time to do things that re-energize me.
I really appreciate the Rabbi who is leading us. There is so much to learn in the desert and it is really impacting my life. The experience is so real that I know how much God cares for me and love me.
We meet God in the desert - It makes so much sense! I'm convinced that unless we have our own "desert experience", we will never really and fully be able to engage God. We are so much more effective after we've been broken.
The past one and a half years, Jesus has taken me on a journey of "inner healing". I know God has something very special for me here. How cool to wander around in His desert as He bring me out of mine!
God uses the culture of the people and the natural tapestry of the land to bring forward a covenant that He Himself fulfills - amazing!

The opulence and grandioseness of Beth Shean is in stark contrast to the humble community of Chorazin - a clear visual display of the differences between Hellenism and Judaism. My heart is called to share in community but I know also that westen hellenism pervades my daily life.
Beth Shean was spectacular in its day. But it ended up in ruins. Man had made himself god and this will always end in destruction.
On a "regular" tour, we acquire a large amount of information - a western tour. On this tour/expedition, we learn how what we hear impacts our lives. We get close enough to the land that Israel really gets under our skin. I've never had the covenant taught like it was today - never seen mercy so clearly in the Old Testament.
I have talked to many who are deeply impacted by the teaching.
I haven't cried for a long time; I think my heart was hardened. But when I sat near the Garden of Gethsemane, my tears just kept falling. Indeed, religion can't save these people - only Jesus Christ. I will try my best to witness to those God will put along my way.
It was eye opening to realize how much of God's Word to me (through the Bible) I have missed because I don't understand the context behind it. Today hurt something in my soul. It was difficult to see a city which, even after two thousand years, is still so far away from understanding the truth of who Jesus is and why He came.
Just a note of thanks to Mark and Cam for an amazing life transforming experience. You guys far exceeded my expectations, brought me places in Israel and in my life that I desperately needed to go. For a small window in my life I had the chance to walk in the footprints of God's people and see how God uses everyday people to speak his word into our broken world. I hope and pray I can one day take my kids through this experience.

I have been changed because of the teaching which deeply moved my soul. This was a once in a lifetime experience for me. The trip was exhausting but worth it; the hiking was an awesome experience. I think Cam and Mark did well by setting the tone, being friendly to each of us and mingling with everyone at meal times.
God really met me and touched my heart. It was a spiritual journey for my soul. The hiking, although somewhat strenuous, gets your mind set on what Jesus and his forefathers experienced.
Thanks for encouraging me to come. I was a life changing experience, an awesome time with such a great mix of people.
Far beyond what I was expecting!!! Absolutely first class job. If I was to critique, I would have liked to learn a bit more about the Israel/Palistinian situation. As I have already told you Cam, I would have paid double - trip of a lifetime.
After receiving Christ in my life 25 years ago, I can really say this has been one of the greatest experiences in my Christian life. Thank you for making this possible for me. I go back home wanting to change my world.
This whole trip exceeded my expectations (which were sky high). The last 2+ years were a kind of desert for me - and I was ready to receive what God had to say to me on this trip. He touched me in each session and did a "deeper work" in me. I am excited to go home, read the text through new eyes and impact my world in His power.
The trip met or exceeded all my expectations. Being able to visualize many biblical places/areas means that I"ll read the Scripture differently from now on, "seeing" the desert, Caesarea Philippi etc in my mind's eye.
I really liked the questions to ponder and reflect on in my own life. I have also felt a drive to learn more and am excited to be able to picture the sites as I read my Bible.
The fresh young vines [in the olive grove] growing out of old knarled trunks was a fabulous picture of Christians being grafted into the Jewish faith.
Amazing - tiring, but would not want to miss anything.
Every day held a new highlight; just when I would think I had seen or done the best, something else would happen.

I enjoyed this trip and wish everyone could come. I've learned a lot from encountering the culture. My Bible reading will never be the same. Honesly, the whole trip was a huge highlight for me. I don't think you could over emphasize the need to physically prepare for this trip; it's a workout with great rewards.
Wow! I can't believe how much we did in two weeks and how many mountains we climbed. I can' believe I hiked that much and always made it to the end.
